Who We Are

Waverley Medical Centre is a family medical practice established in Glen Waverley in 1985.

The doctors and staff are committed to providing the highest level of medical care to all of our patients. Our goal is to provide caring and comprehensive general medical services to you and your family.

This centre is accredited by the Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd (AGPAL). This means that our centre complies with the highest standards set by the AGPAL organization.

Test Results

All patients are asked to return to see their doctor for results unless otherwise discussed with the doctor.

Surgical Procedures

To ensure the health and safety of our patients all instruments used in procedures are cleaned and sterilized in individual bags using an Autoclave Steriliser. Where instruments are unable to be sterilized in this way, we use disposable sterile instruments that are discarded immediately after use.

Vaccines

We offer standard vaccines such as Hepatitis B, Meningococcal, Tetanus, Whooping Cough and Diphtheria, Polio, Measles Mumps & Rubella, and also most travel vaccines. We also offer Flu vaccine and Pneumococcal vaccines for the winter months.

Prescription

We believe patient on regular medication should have their conditions reviewed periodically. Patients are therefore required to make an appointment when requiring a repeat prescription.

Referrals

It is a policy of this practice that all patients requiring a referral must have a consultation with a doctor.

Appointments

The easiest way for you to see your doctor is to make an appointment by phone. Unavoidable delays in appointment times can occur when our doctors must attend to a patient with an urgent medical condition.


If you are unable to attend your appointment please notify our reception staff as soon as possible. This is to allow us time to allocate your appointment to another patient if we are fully booked.


Some consultations require a longer appointment time than the standard scheduled time of 10 minutes, for example insurance or pre-employment medicals- please inform the receptionist at the time of making your appointment, so that enough time is scheduled for you.

Medical certificates can only be issued following a consultation with a doctor.
